Norman C. Dietz 1918 - 2010

The entire Chippewa Marching Band family is saddened by the passing of longtime director, mentor, and friend, Prof. Norman C. Dietz. Memorial information will be posted as it becomes available. We join the Dietz family in celebrating his life and will continue to strive to live up to his example. those fortunate enough to have played for Mr. Dietz are, no doubt, mindful of his beloved Doxology, which we used to sing together before meals. The Chippewa Spirit soars a bit closer to Heaven today.

2010 promises to be another exciting season of Chippewa Football and the best ever for the Chippewa Marching Band. Every one of our 285 proud Marching Chips will be working hard to bring the Chippewa Spirit to every game, and to Play With the Heart of a True Champion!

Fifty-Seventh CMU Band Day

The Fifty-Seventh CMU Band Day will take place on Saturday October 2, 2010. More information to follow. This year's All-Star mass band halftime features the music of JOURNEY, made popular again by the hit TV series, Glee.
