The Central Michigan University jazz faculty continues to perform the music of Rob Smith, Director of Jazz Studies. Compositions with titles such as Twitter This and Invasive Procedure reflect the originality of a performer/composer that many consider to be a musician’s musician. The mission of the Center for Creative Media is to utilize the resources of the Central Michigan University School of Music to create high quality musical products of unique cultural and scholarly merit. The Center's recording label, White Pine Music, will serve musicians and listeners alike by seeking new and innovative ways of recording and distributing music.
